Dr. Eugenia M. Ramos-Davila selected as the winner of the Victoria Cohen Scholarship 2026

After careful consideration, the Judging Panel for the Victoria Cohen Eye Cancer Charitable Trust has selected Dr. Eugenia M. Ramos-Davila as the winner of the Victoria Cohen Scholarship 2026.

Starting in August, Dr. Ramos will take her fellowship at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center in the United States before returning to Mexico to pursue her career in ocular oncology.

Nicholas Rapley, chair of the VCECCT, commented, ‘We are delighted to support Dr.Ramos with the cost of her training to become an ocular oncologist. The Judging Panel were extremely impressed by her application and are confident she will have a significant impact on the lives of those affected by eye cancer once qualified. The world needs more ocular oncologists and the Victoria Eye Cancer Charitable Trust is proud to be able to help.’

On being confirmed as this year’s winner, Dr. Eugenia Ramos added ‘I am very grateful and inspired by the Victoria Eye Cancer Charitable Trust for its commitment to supporting aspiring ocular oncologists. I hope my work and effort reflect the Fund’s mission of helping people around the world.’
