Twenty applications have been received from aspiring ocular oncologists from all over the world for this year’s Victoria Cohen Scholarship. The Judging Panel for the Victoria Cohen Eye Cancer Charitable Trust now has the difficult task of drawing up a shortlist for interview and ultimately selecting this year’s winner.

The winner of the Victoria Cohen Scholarship 2024 is Dr. Sayed Mansoor Sediqi from the University Eye Teaching Hospital, Kabul, Afghanistan.

Dr. Vijitha Vempuluru, winner of the first Victoria Cohen Scholarship, now works at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India. Here she provides an update on her work in ocular oncology since completing her fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA.
